The engine mount is a component usually made of rubber and metal which connects the engine to the chassis, or body, of the vehicle. The Function of the PCV System

The Positive Crankshaft Ventilation (PCV) system is responsible for ensuring that the gases emitted from the engine are properly recycled.

The most important part of the PCV system is the PCV valve. The PCV valve is the main component that controls the blow-by gases. Using the engine vacuum, the PCV valve pulls the blow-by gases out of the crankcase. Once the gases are out of the crankcase, the PCV valve pushes the blow-by gases down the intake manifold and back into the combustion chamber. Back in the combustion chamber, these blow-by gases are re-burned and reused by your Mini’s engine.
