The best way to make sure your water pump is well taken care of is to use a manufacturer-recommended coolant and stay vigilant when looking for warning signs. Check under your hood to inspect the water pump and surrounding area occasionally, and be aware of any leakage or of a car that is starting to run warmer than usual. However, the best thing to do if you suspect your water pump is beginning to fail is to take your Jaguar in to a licensed service center to be checked out by professionals.
